After my apprenticeship as a commercial clerk from 1984 to 1987 at a
Legal expenses insurance and a 3-month language study trip to England, I filled my "backpack of experience" for several years, including in the administrative area with partial responsibility, as an apprentice counsellor, as the sole secretary for a lawyer and also as the head of a departmental secretariat for a lawyer.

After 16 years in the profession, I was then able to spend several years just looking after my family and working full-time as a mum and wife, until I was able to return to my job in 2017 as a maternity cover for a larger church on a part-time basis and then seamlessly switch to accounting. After a short break, I have been working there again as a 30% accounting clerk since January 2023 and have now been able to join the Flying Supporter team in accounting with another part-time workload since 1 August 2023.

I am 56, married and have a daughter who is already working and twin daughters who are still in education. I am a family man, but I also love my job and am grateful that I can enjoy both.

In my free time, I love reading, spending quality time with good friends and painting. I have been part of the "Art on Stage" team at our church for around 10 years and usually paint once a month during the church service. For me, painting is an enriching and lively approach to God and the Bible, which I want to realise and express in my paintings to encourage people.
