Server access via web interface: Simpler, more centralised, more efficient
IT infrastructures must be flexibly accessible. Server access via a web interface enables exactly that: users access applications, desktops or individual programmes via the browser - without local installation and without VPN configuration.
Windows Server 2025 brings important innovations that are specifically designed for higher performance, improved security and the requirements of modern, virtualised workloads. The system was officially released in November 2024 and is available via the Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC). It includes updates for Hyper-V, Active Directory and GPU acceleration. Of particular note is the support of NVMe for significantly faster storage access - up to 60 % higher IOPS performance compared to previous versions.
