After graduating from the University of Zurich with a degree in biology, I had the opportunity to enter the IT field as a technology student in 1997. After the worms and viruses in the lab, I have been dealing with worms and viruses on PC systems ever since (among many other things). After my short time as a technology student at Portable Shop, the only specialist for notebooks and mobile electronics at the time, I was promoted to technician after six months and after a further six months to branch manager at the Aarau site.
After four years, my wife and I decided to quit our jobs and take a two-month sabbatical. In autumn 2002, we seized the opportunity to put my IT knowledge into practice in our own business and founded Flying Supporter.
After a quarter of a century in IT, I can still say that I still really enjoy working with customers, employees and the constantly evolving IT system, and I even enjoy going to work on Monday mornings - after spending the weekend as PC-free as possible. The tried and tested and the new, good solutions and new challenges - the job is and remains exciting.
I am 52 years old, have been happily married to Nadia for more than 25 years and we have four children aged between 16 and 20. When I'm not working on my PC, I'm out and about with my family, I like to work on our house, get involved in our church community or pull the kids across Lake Lucerne on a wakeboard. If there's still time, I like to read good books or play with our four cats.
