Dear customers,
In recent weeks, there have been several outages in the digital world that have highlighted the vulnerability of the systems we rely on every day.
One of these outages, which was caused by a CrowdStrike update, has caused concern among our customers. If you are still affected by the impact of the incident, we have a resolver tool that automatically applies the CrowdStrike workaround to get your systems back up and running.
However, we would like to emphasise the importance of proactive protection. Times of fatigue and instability like these are often followed by an increase in cyberattacks. Your servers, PCs and smartphones are your first line of defence and it is now more important than ever to protect them.
With this in mind, we strongly recommend the use of Endpoint Central. This software from ManageEngine brings you and your systems important security enhancements, including protection against vulnerabilities such as CVE-2024-38869 and CVE-2024-3886, as well as some micro-features and compliance benefits.
Please allow us to exercise caution at all times and stay informed. Thank you for your continued trust in Flying Supporter and the recommended solutions.
With kind regards
Urs Sennhauser (CEO) and the Endpoint Central team from Flying Supporter
PS - an experience report: one of our EndPointCentral customers manages 400 servers - 200 Windows and 200 Linux servers. With EndpointCentral, all servers are updated monthly with the latest patches from Microsoft and over 100 third-party vendors. One week after Patch Tuesday, the 4 groups of test servers are automatically patched. This serves to secure the patch distribution of the productive servers, which is also carried out automatically in several groups one week later. This gives the system administrator maximum security with minimum effort - he only has to check the patch logs of the servers once a month and recognises in minutes that his servers are up to date 😉 IT can be that simple.
